Let's start at the very beginning
It's a very good place to start.
I hear things
No, Not like that.
Like many of you, I hear snippets of other people's conversations. Unlike some of you, I have a need to have the rest of the story. However, it is not socially acceptable to break in to other people's conversations and ask them to start at the very beginning, and fill you in. Weird, huh?
Instead I make it up in my head so that I can move on. I've done this my whole life. Kind of like a creative writing class exercise that never ends.
Why should I have all the fun?
I only think in one voice/genre. All of you, on the other hand, think in your own ways, with your own voice, your own preferred genre.
So let's collaborate, have some fun, write some stories, and share them.
The Rules
Every good game needs some rules, er... 'guidelines' to follow.
1. On, or around, the 1st of the month I will post a prompt on this blog.
2. You, kind reader, have until the 1st of the next month to post your story online somewhere and link to it in the comments, preferrably with the genre that you would categorize your story as,or email me at overheardprompts@gmail.com
3. I will post the links from your comments on a seperate post, grouped by genre.
4. We all read each others stories.
Sounds great, right?
Great. I'll see you on August 1st. Follow our page on facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Overheardprompts
